Author & Seller Agreement

To list content for sale, you must: be at least 18 years old; complete identity verification as required by our payment processor; provide accurate tax information where required; not be located in a country subject to applicable trade sanctions.

Manuscripts: Original prose, poetry, non-fiction, screenplays, essays. Editorial Services: Proofreading, copyediting, developmental editing, translation, typesetting. Book Covers & Art: Cover designs, illustrations, literary artwork. Bounty Responses: Work produced in response to a specific client request.

By listing content for sale, you represent and warrant that: you are the sole author and copyright owner; the work is original and does not infringe any third-party rights; the work is not plagiarized; AI elements are disclosed; you have the right to grant buyers the license in Section 5; the work does not contain defamatory or unlawful content.

If any warranty proves false, you agree to indemnify Scriptorium.works from any resulting claims, damages, costs, and legal fees.

By default, all listings are non-exclusive. You may sell the same work on other platforms simultaneously unless you explicitly mark a listing as "exclusive."

When a buyer purchases your work, they receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to: read, view, and privately enjoy the purchased work; store one personal backup copy.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, buyers do not receive the right to: republish, distribute, or resell; adapt or create derivative works; use commercially beyond personal reading; remove copyright notices.

For each completed sale: you receive 90% of the listed price; Scriptorium.works retains a 10% platform fee; payment processing fees are absorbed by the Platform — you always receive the full 90%.

Payouts are processed within 7 business days. Minimum payout threshold: €5.

Buyer payments are held in escrow and released when the buyer confirms receipt, or 7 days pass after delivery without a dispute.

Sellers are prohibited from: creating fake accounts to purchase their own listings; manipulating reviews; conducting transactions off-platform to circumvent fees; providing buyers with direct contact information to facilitate off-platform transactions.

You may remove your listings at any time. This terminates our license to display it to new buyers but does not affect existing completed transactions.

We may suspend your seller account and remove listings for valid DMCA notices, content standard violations, fraudulent activity, or accumulating two or more infringement notices within 12 months.

You are solely responsible for determining and paying applicable taxes on your earnings. US-based sellers earning over $600/year will receive applicable tax documentation from our payment processor as required by US law.
