Upload & Publishing Agreement

Last updated / Ultima actualizare: April 10, 2026

Every time you publish content on Scriptorium.works, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following terms. This agreement supplements our Terms of Service and Author Agreement.

1. You Own or Control the Rights

By publishing content on Scriptorium.works, you declare that:

(a) You are the original author, or you hold all necessary rights, licences, and permissions to upload and sell this work;

(b) The work does not infringe any copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property right of any third party;

(c) The work is not plagiarised, and any quoted or referenced material is used within the bounds of fair use or with appropriate permission;

(d) If the work was created with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools, you disclose this clearly in the listing description.

2. Licence You Grant to Scriptorium.works

You grant Scriptorium.works a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:

(a) Store, display, and reproduce your work for the purpose of operating the marketplace;

(b) Generate protected preview pages (typically the first 15–20%) visible to potential buyers;

(c) Create thumbnails and cover images for display in search results and listings;

(d) Transmit the purchased file securely to buyers who have completed payment.

This licence is limited to the operation of the platform and does not authorise Scriptorium.works to sell, sublicence, or commercially exploit your work in any other way.

3. You Retain Copyright

Publishing on Scriptorium.works does not transfer your copyright. You remain the sole copyright owner of your work. You may continue to publish, sell, or distribute the same work on other platforms unless you explicitly mark your listing as "exclusive."

4. Content Standards

You confirm that the uploaded work does not contain:

(a) Content that sexualises minors in any way;

(b) Illegal content under applicable law (hate speech, instructions for illegal activity, etc.);

(c) Malicious files, scripts, or code embedded in any document;

(d) Defamatory, harassing, or fraudulent material.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards without prior notice.

5. Accurate Metadata

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information in your listing, including title, description, category, language, and word count. Misleading metadata (e.g. false word count, incorrect category) constitutes a breach of this agreement and may result in listing removal or account suspension.

6. Responsibility for Your Content

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. If a third party raises a valid copyright infringement claim (DMCA notice) regarding your listing, we are required to remove it promptly. Repeated or intentional infringement will result in permanent account suspension.

If any claim, lawsuit, or liability arises from content you uploaded in violation of this agreement, you agree to indemnify and hold Scriptorium.works harmless from all resulting costs, damages, and legal fees.

7. Removal of Content

You may remove your own listings at any time. Removal terminates the platform licence to display your work to new visitors but does not affect previously completed purchases.

Scriptorium.works may remove content at any time for valid legal reasons, platform policy violations, or at the request of a rights holder.
